The works for this online journal made me laugh out loud, grin, or take in the content with slight confusion, in contrast to the prior work we had to investigate for our online journal, which made me think intensely and feel strongly about it.

I also liked how casual and warm the vibe I was receiving from the piece because it reminded me of my friends with whom I hadn’t physically communicated in a long time.

RJ Ledesma’s work narrated his experiences and feelings with his upcoming wedding with his loved one. The story did a really good job at telling every detail and making it’s readers feel the exact feelings RJ Ledesma had during the preparations of his wedding, which is nostalgia and ecstasy almost. I really liked how he told the story in a first person point of view because it really helped a lot in making it’s readers feel immersed and as if we are the ones about to be wed.

Though I can’t say the same with Stainless Longganisa, by Bob Ong. Much like the first text the writer’s thoughts, views, and experiences on different subjects are shared with the reader in a very personal way and tone, and was also written in the first person point of view. Bob Ong’s work, on the other hand, tells stories in a simple manner, while Ledesma’s was lighthearted and casual.

Bob Ong’s work followed a parallel structure because it’s works and happenings in the previous and current writings had no doing and relations with one another, though still able to form a concrete message of it’s own.

Though two different authors and two not so different approaches in telling their experiences thru writing, they both did a great job in expressing their personalities and humors in their own ways. They were able to express and let the readers dive in on exploring their personalities in a not so formal way, which is what i loved the most, because it tells so much about being a writer. That being a writer is so much more than just spewing words on your paper — it’s about hunting the right words and techniques to able to capsize the viewer and being as accurate and as careful as to not lose their own personalities or themselves in the process.
